Morrocanoil curly hair product does it work?

OK so i have REALLY curly hair and it's short and i wanted to know , from all the people with curly who have used this product does it work? thanks :)Morrocanoil curly hair product does it work?
I am a hair styler and use the Morrocanoil product with my customers.....it works on all hair types, including curly hair! It controls frizzy hair and seems to condition hair very well. It also protects the hair from the sun in hot temperatures. I found a pretty good internet company called Folica.com to purchase my hair products from. The Morrocanoil is only $35 at Folica.com! Quit a bargain! I think the size is about 3.5oz! Good luck!Morrocanoil curly hair product does it work?
I use that stuff before...It's a terrible product. The oil smelled great and my hair felt great for a few minutes, but it got really dry and looked filmy/white-ish. The stuff contains silicones which was bad for hair.

I brought all natural Morrocan Oil (usually used for cooking), and it did oil my hair nicely. The only issue I had with the oil was that it has a very strong nuttty small that just stayed on your hair for a long time.

The Best African American Hair Product For Thinning Sides?

Please Help U guys i've have tried everything to make my edges grow back and nothing haven't work yet. I've tried doo gro,dr.miracles, organic root stimulator. and nothing seems to work. the rest of my hair grows hecka fast but my edges doesnt. have anyone try baby don't be bald yet? someone please help me out.The Best African American Hair Product For Thinning Sides?
I would first say that if you have thinning sides and nothing is making them grow back. You may have a thyroid problem. The first signs are usually in the hair and the thinning and breakage and falling out.

I have been using a product called O2 Emu Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. On my hair. Because it helps my fragile edges grow and remain strong through my style managing.

I have natural hair and many African American women are going natural because of the relaxers can damage the growth process of your hair and if you can avoid chemicals for a while you should give your hair a rest. The Best African American Hair Product For Thinning Sides?
It might not be the products. Your edges might be thinning if you put your hair in tight ponytails regularly. If this is the case, try wearing it out a couple days out the week. The constant brushing straight back might be the problem.

If your hair is relaxed make sure you wrap it every night.

I use optimum care anti-breakage therapy 'featherlight hairdress'. It's light weight smells great and works wonders. I grease my scalp with it once a week after I wash as well as moisturize my ends with it. Luster's Light Pink lotion is also pretty good.
try shapleys mtg it will grow your edges back but you have to order it on line. It will cost about 15 with tax, the smell it bad but it does the job.
The baby hair in the front you should relax with gel or something girls in NYC do it for fun even though they dont need to do it
MTG would be great n it doesn't cost much.. but also try massaging your scalp it wil help the blood flow though ur hair n that should get it back n order

Whats the best Tigi hair product for curling straight hair?

I really like the foxy curls one cuz it smells of skittles! but on the ordering site just noticed it only has a hold rating of 2 and i really need the highest possible but without it going stiff, which is best for curling naturally straight hair?

and are there any suitable ones that also smell of skittles? its so nice!

thanks!Whats the best Tigi hair product for curling straight hair?
I barely hear of foxy curls! The top ';Curl'; in the tigi product line is the catwalk curls rock. Gives you everything from the best curls, best amplifies, best shine, and best hold with a tap of sleek. Below is a link of the the products from tigi catwalk curls walk amazon has, but I recommend using it as a list and searching other stores or perhaps the store you were talking about to shop from. Good luck and hope I was some help.

.What is the best hair product you have ever used?
Herbal essence total twisted gel/mousse is amazing!!

Shampoo Nuetrogena triple moisture and mask and conditioner is like magic(gets rid of frizz)
Paul Mitchell's The Conditioner. My hair is naturally curly so it has a mind of its own. Paul Mitchell's The Conditioner tames those frizzies without leaving a sticky film on my hair. I have been using it for over 20 years.
    shampoo- rusk brilliance

    contitioner-rusk calm

    hairspray-matrix color smart
dove shampoo and garnier fructies conditioner and infusium 23 leave in conditioner works so well!
Pantene shampoos and conditioners and John Freida's hair serums
Pantene ProV shampoo/conditioner works best for me, and I have straight hair that gets tangled very easily.
    anything BedHead is amazing
Red kin...its called full throttle conditioner and shampoo
For shampoo and conditioner it's been Garnier Fructis Length and Strength, also the Anti-split ends treatment and deep conditoner. Why? Because I straighten/dye my hair alot and it prevents my hair from getting split ends and damage, plus it leaves my hair soft and really shiny.

Also the hold spray from Garnier Fructis leaves my hair shiny and hard.

The smoothing milk leaves my hair frizz free and it smells really good when I use it.
For curly hair: It would be Ouidad's products. Especially the gel. It keeps out humidity. Other hair products: Pantene and Back to Basics products. Back to Basics use a lot of organic ingredients and all natural ones.
it would probably have to be redkindall soft shampoo and conditioner with avocado oil! my hair was damaged and when i started using it, it beacome healthier!
Nexxus products, especially Therapy shampoo %26amp; Humectress conditioner.
L.A. Looks gel 2 mousse...I have naturally curly hair and this product gives me the bounciest curls.
I've tried everything from the most expensive hairdresser type products to drugstore brand, and drugstore wins, with any product by John Frieda! His stuff is awesome and I always get the exact results they promise! Really high quality without the too high price of hair salon products and all of the performance you're looking for! I can't say enough! Try them!
Anything from Bumble and Bumble... they have to have to the most amazing hair products, hands down. A little pricey, but completely worth it!

Also Redken styling products are pretty amazing... dont really like there shampoo though.
Phyto Organics Omni-styler Designer Liquid by Nexxus

(it's liquid gel) Like $6 for 10oz in the grocery store.

I like it because I tend to have frizzy hair and as it dries it seems to increase in volume. This product keeps it under control like none I've ever tried.
    i love bed head
KMS HairPlay..it is a styling cream.. I used to have really short hair, and it was fantastic.
a leave in conditioner called vitopoint. its a miracle i have really dry and brittle hair and very hard to manage, i put this in and straighten my hair and it looks really healthy and sleek just beautiful

What is the worst shampoo, conditioner, or hair product YOU have ever used? And the best?

    For me...

    WORST:

    Shampoo and Conditioner- V05

    Product- White Rain Hairspray

    BEST:

    Shampoo/Conditioner: Aussie

Product- Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Smoothing Milk

And you? What is the worst shampoo, conditioner, or hair product YOU have ever used? And the best?
Well although I loved the way my hair smelled after using V05 it left my hair totally tangled, and hair product well i don't really use any except maybe mouse but i hated the white rain hairspray as well. Best would be Head and Shoulders it does wonders on my hair and smells fresh all day, product this 3 minute pantene hair treatment leaves hair like it has never been damaged.

How long will it take for this hair product to work?

i bought the john frieda brilliant brunette shampoo, its supposed to make your hair a shade darker..but it doesnt say how long it will take to be noticable. anybody know? How long will it take for this hair product to work?
A lot of products take between 2-4 weeks to become noticeable. However, I used the same shampoo and didn't notice any changes I hope it works for you, though. Good luck. How long will it take for this hair product to work?
I have the john frieda for blonde, but I have only used the highlighting one. It has worked for me between drying time and the next day. I think it may take longer for the product you have because all mine had to do was bring out my highlights; not create any.
I got that too and noticed results in about of week of using it, however I noticed it messed up my hair colour. The colour didnt take everywhere and it made my roots lighter....i'd be careful

    that stuff sucks

My hair is pretty shiny, should I use some sort of hair product to reduce the shine?

It is not greasy either - it's just very straight and shiny. My hair is pretty shiny, should I use some sort of hair product to reduce the shine?
appreciate that you have shiny hairMy hair is pretty shiny, should I use some sort of hair product to reduce the shine?
Since your hair is not shiny because it's greasy, you should keep it. Using hair products to reduce teh shine might just cause hair damages. Also having shiny hair is something you should be proud about becuase havent you seen hair commercials on tv? Most of them have shiny hair! heheh. Just leave it the way it is, you don't need to do anything to it.
I know what you mean. For guys, shine isn't as positive as it is for girls. Gel is the answer here. Also, I don't know if this would work for you to be honest, but you could try cutting it really short.
shiny hair is a good thing, now if its greasy thats not so good. Powder it with baby powder and fluff through.
Why would you want to make your super healthy hair look unhealthy? Rock your shiny hair !

My daughter is mixed race and has wavy/curley hair. Is there a good hair product to keep it from tangling?

There is a product called Halo, by Graham Webb that is amazing. It's also a hydrating shampoo/conditioner so it helps with dryness. There is also a line that is a curl conditioner, I put a link so you could read about the product and see if it's the right one for her.My daughter is mixed race and has wavy/curley hair. Is there a good hair product to keep it from tangling?
Try a product called Baby Love. It comes in a cream and a lotion. The lotion is a little lighter that the cream but they both work great to keep a slick look and detangled at the same time. Good LuckMy daughter is mixed race and has wavy/curley hair. Is there a good hair product to keep it from tangling?
First and foremost teach her to embrace her curls and PLEASE don't use chemical relaxers on her hair!!! Go to www.curls.biz or www.blendedbeauty.com. Their products are natural and wonderful for biracial hair!
You can try some baby love cream before you make her ponytails... they sell it in walgreens. Stick with light creams for her hair, no grease.

just don't perm her hair whatever you do!
use pantene restoratives leave in conditioner

put it on when her hair is wet ant comb it through with a wide tooth comb, it should make her curls more defined and frizz/tangle free.
if she wants it straightened tell her no or just buy a hot iron for hair so she could have straight hair temporaily

What's a good hair product to use before using a straightner?

what's a good hair product to use before using a straightner and is sun in good? what product spray can i use to get beachy waves? What's a good hair product to use before using a straightner?
hello i am a hair dresser and the most popular product my clients as well as myself use is Redkens Iron Silk spray. You should look this for this at your local hair salon. As far as ';sun in'; NEVER use this product due to the fact its results are very inconsistent and any color should be performed by a trained professional. Its much harder to repair damaged hair and color than getting done right the first time. What's a good hair product to use before using a straightner?
I love the TresSemme line because they seem to know what to put in their products so my hair doesn't dry out.

They have a short black (red cap) type of bottle that has a thermal spray thing inside. You spray it on your hair and let it dry

then you use a curler or straightener. I just bought it today. Awesome. It's 4.99 compared to the ridiculously priced non-TresSemme products sharing the shelves.

Beachy waves? I don't use gel. I use TresSemme Mousse. You can use Styling Mousse or Styling Curls Mousse. I am dying to get the Curls one to make it extra spiraly. The styling mousse works REALLY well!

It smells fantastic too. You just wet your hair, put the mousse on.

It dries up and looks like natural waves. Again, it's 4.99. Well it was on sale at Rite Aid and I got it for 2.00. The bottle has lasted me 4 months and I use it 4/7 days a week.
Chi has this stuff that protects your hair from the straightner. sorry i dont know what its called but just go to place where chis r sold and ask for thermal protection they should kno what r talking bout. LUV THIS STUFF!!!!

    answer mine please

If you have chemically treated hair DO NOT use sun in

and add adding heat to it (such as straightening) it will fry your hair

    not good

What use for ';beachy waves'; is Sea Salt, its in a clear blue bottle

You can get it at EdWyse. I HIGHLY recommend going there

hey, i use the same fructis surf hair it;s great....but axe also has new hair products u check them out there are 4 different kinds i think...u can get it in cvs walgreens or any supermarket.
    Maybe it's gel.

    Or hairspray?

Why do hair shampo or any hair product commercials always get a brunette model and not a blonde ?

i have nothing against brunettes .. im a brunette myselfWhy do hair shampo or any hair product commercials always get a brunette model and not a blonde ?
cause they want natural healthy hair not fried hair. Blondes are from bottles. Why do hair shampo or any hair product commercials always get a brunette model and not a blonde ?
Dark hair is traditionally more ';healthy looking'; as most natural blonde colors are not very pretty, and bottle blonde hair needs a lot of help to look healthy.
because the light plays better on a dark coloured hair and it is easier to observe its healthyness than on a light coloured hair ;)
There are blonde commercials... but in general, the darker the hair, the more the highlights of the lighting shows, the more shiny/silky the hair looks on camera. There's not as much contrast with blonde hair. Some of the hair is altered with computers. I believe the Pantene commercials use computer-generated hair to add to the reflective properties.
because in the u.s all we have is bleached blondes
    i dont really know
when they show brunette's hair it shines better in the light than it does with a blonde.

My sister swears by Redkin too. I have never tried it b/c I love Aveda products %26amp; paul mitchell products.

I absolutely love Bunmble and Bumble (try the surf spray, fantastic!) and Davines product line NouNou available in at high end salons.

And for styling products, I would DIE without my Aquage.
    I use Pantene Pro-V Red.

it's a bit expensive but lasts forever you just need a bit rubbed into your hands then worked all through hair. it's great for ';piecing'; your hair with fingers for cute choppy layered styles or to just use to smooth out your hair.

    lol.
I would say Head and Shoulders. I had thin lanky hair with no volume and a very dry and itchy scalp.

To make matters worse it seemed to be falling out as people were always finding strands of my hair around even though I have short hair!

After using a dollop from a free bottle of Head and Shoulders my hair went poof!

Suddenly my scalp stopped itching and my hair had volume, shine and the only hair that comes out of my head now is on my hairbrush!!!!!!!

That is now the only shampoo that I would ever use.

It sounds like you have the same type of hair that I do... It's miserable during the summer, isn't it? I use Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk. If you rub in a dab while it's damp, then either let it air dry or blow dry it straight, most of the frizzies go away. It makes hair smooth, sleek, and soft, and it's not heavy like a lot of other products are. Plus it's like $5 and you can get it at your local drugstore.Does anyone know any good hair product that help with thick hair?
Ar you african american? If so, visit your beauty supply, purchase the lightest hair food they carry. By saturating the hair oil in your scalp you may blow dry. This should straighten it out, or use mousse to make or more wavy and stop the frizzy
Mush 8 strawberrys and mix with 1 tablespoon of mayonaise. Massage onto hair. Put shower cap over it, and then a warm towel, leave on for 1/2 hour. Then wash out.

~Gives healthy looking hair, shininess, and will give it a rich gloss~

Apply oils to your hair (Olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil.) Put a shower cap and leave on over night. When its morning, Shampoo and condition out.

~ Makes hair finer, which makes it smoother, softer, and silkier.~

Use a Natural Boar Bristle Brush. This brush takes the natural oils from your hair, and smoothes it out to your hair.

~Gives the hair a shiny and softer look and feel~

Rinse hair w/ cold water instead of warm.

~ Closes the cuticle of your hair and gives instant shine~

Deep condition your hair once a week (I like Garnier Fructis 3 min. conditioner)

~Hydrates dry hair, and gives it a healthy look.~

Lightly beat 2 eggs w/ a little bit of milk, massage into hair, and leave in for 5 min. Then shampoo and condition it out.

~ Gives softness and silkyness instantly!~

Conditioning after shampooing softens the cuticle of your hair.

~Making hair finer, for softer hair~
If you like to style I personally think the best product is wax based palmade. Because it texturizes the best. But if you are looking for a hair smoothing serum I ahve tried the brilliant brunette shine smoothing serum it works pretty good and it makes your hair really shinny becuase they add sparkles to the mixture but the sparkles blend really well with your hair so it looks naturally shinny and healthy and smoothes out the frizz.

What's the best hair product I can buy to keep my curls tight??

Hi, i have always had permed hair and i am due to have another perm on Saturday. I usually buy VO5 curl booster which is prety good. Because my hair is long and not layered, sometimes my hair drops a little and i need something to put in it that will keep the curls quite tight. I don't like stuff that is too stiff or makes my hair feel hard, if you know what i mean.

Thanks for any adivce.XXWhat's the best hair product I can buy to keep my curls tight??

:)What's the best hair product I can buy to keep my curls tight??
Aveda do a product called Be Curly. There's one you use on wet hair which is in a big pale green tube and another one for dry hair in a small grey container. Both are excellent, really define your curls and it lasts all day but your hair stays soft and swingy rather than that stiff wig look that I hate too!
hey im using sunsilk waves of envy hairspray. it's less than 5 bucks and it really works. it isnt sticky like gel and it doesnt make it stiff. it works just enough for my waves to be intact (and i actually have straight hair). smells good too :)

Frizz control and gel hair product, any recommendations?

Hello, I have short curly hair and im in search of a good frizz control and a gel for my hair. Im overwhelmed by the selections and the different price ranges, does anybody have any recommendations?Frizz control and gel hair product, any recommendations?
OHHH I have the perfect solution for you!

Well first of all - when you shampoo/condition, seriously rinse hardly ANY conditioner out. If you leave almost all of it in, it leaves a protective, smooth barrier and weighs frizzies down at the same time. Try Dove Frizz Control Therapy shampoo/conditioner with serum in it. Less than $5 for each.

Go to Wal-Mart and buy ZeroFrizz (bigger, cheaper than Frizz Ease), I personally use 3-4 pumps for my shoulderblade-length hair. Remember to apply it to WET hair, no dry hair at all. Don't be afraid to soak your hair in it. Right around $5.

Gel is also too sticky, I know because that's all I used to use for my hair. I use Garnier Fructis Volumizing Mousse, it keeps it light. Right around $3.

If you want a pic of my curly hair, let me know, maybe I could e-mail you one. And all of my products are from Wal-Mart.Frizz control and gel hair product, any recommendations?

Any hair product that'll help it dry faster in a bun?

My hair turns out a variety of different ways depending on how I style it when wet. ^^^^^ I strongly disagree. Spraying a TON of hairspray damages your hair and it is bad for the atmosphere around you.

    ---

For healthy and good textured hair here are some easy simple steps.

    1. Buy Tre Semme or Garneir's hair styling moose. If you want a big boost of messiness buy the curly kind which will also make your hair a little bit curly which makes it look more voluminous and the 'pretty' type of messy.

    2. To keep the hair product in, flip your hair upside down and blow dry it on low with your hair upside down and scrunch it with your hands (which will previously will be lightly doused in a little bit of hairspray)

    Hope it helped!

Using mouse when your blow drying your hair is good. Also straightening your hair makes it totally sleek. Look for different shampoos that match what you want, also if you find a product that you think is good for your hair make sure it isn't to greasy. Hope this helps :)

Mixed Chicks...look them up on the net... great stuff. Use it two ways:

    1. for a curly look apply their leave-in to clean wet hair and air dry.

    2. for straight looks shampoo, rinse, deep condition, rinse, dry then apply leave-in to the tips and do your heat work.

    Good luck
depends on your hair type but tou want a product that will hold. products with alcohol usually work well but will dry your hair, leaving it brittle, weak and susceptible to heat damage from the sun.

try to find a h olding product that has alcohol in it with a sunscreen. there are a few-look for something from your favorite brand of products. go to their website and ask for ideas

    i hope this helps
You could just let your hair be wavy.
    ';It's not in the product. It's in the equipment.';

Ok, I have some excellent hair product recommendations for you but let me just first tell you that if you have the right type of hair dryer and the right type of flat iron, you will save yourself from needing to use as much product and your hair will be straighter and smoother.

    1. You want a tourmaline powered hair dryer that will smooth the hair without taking away the moisture.

These dryers are top of the line right now and not only do they work super fast, they leave your hair beautiful, silky, smooth and 100% frizz free.

I recommend the T3 Bespoke Labs dryers that they sell at Sephora. (pretty pricey, but worth it to invest in a beautiful machine for your hair)

    2. The Flat - Iron

Nothing works better than the CHI.

If you have an excellent flat iron, it will lock in the hair into the straight look.

Ok so now to answer your question (and this is coming from the queen of straightening her hair every day and having the craziest thick curly frizzy hair mankind has ever seen)

just bear with me, these products are pricey but they WORK

    1. Tigi S-Factor -- Smoothing Lusterizer

Don't want frizz? Then this is your solution. Apply to wet hair and then blow dry and your hair pretty much will already be silky smooth and perfect.

    2. Phyto Organics Humectin (extreme moisture conditioner) by Nexxus

You only need a bean size of this and it will hydrate the ends of your hair so that they don't look frizzy or dry and at the same time it restores proteins to the hair that are been stripped from the flat ironing.

    3. Aveda Brilliance gloss drops (serum)

John Freida might be ok for a little drive down the street. But nothing is more powerful and more effective than Aveda's anti-frizz gloss drops. This stuff locks it in ALL DAY (even the next day, if you don't wash your hair every day, which you shouldn't, this stuff keeps the frizz down completely the first time you put it in until the next time you wash your hair)

So there you have it, those are basically my hair treasures that work like charms for me. And I've tried just about everything in the book.

If you want the look, invest in buying some really nice products and don't forget to have the right tools too!!

    Good luck!
None! Humidity is really terrible! I fight the same problem here in Texas. I have had more luck though with Proc!aim Glossing Polish. I get it at Sally Beauty Supply. Here it is about $5.49 for the public to purchase.
Try a serum to seal hair (John Frieda Frizz Ease, Biosilk Silk Therapy, or Matrix Sleek Look Step 4 all are good).

Your best bet comes in the products you use before you straighten though. Try Matrix Sleek Look Shampoo and conditioner or Loreal Smooth Vive. After drying with a blow dryer, spray in a thermal protectant like tresemme heat tamer or matrix iron smoother. Then straighten hair on a high temp (350 or higher). Straightening at this temp will straighten hair all the way through to the core, not just the surface, which keeps hair straighter longer. If you are using a drugstore iron, consider investing in a better iron like a CHI or Sedu. They have infrared heat and ions that battle humidity and frizz.

If none of this works, just accept your hair for what it is. Wavy hair is in style now.

What is a good hair product for curling hair?

I can never get my hair to curl on my own but somehow other people have been able to but they always use some sort of product. what is a good product that can help someone with extremely straight flat hair to get their hair to curl!?What is a good hair product for curling hair?
Tresemme curl activitorWhat is a good hair product for curling hair?
What products have you tried using?

For an affordable fix, i like using:

Garnier Fructis CURL CONSTRUCT! mousse, Herbal Essance curl enhancing mousse and the Sunsilk Curl boosting mousse.

Also grab yourself a hard hold hairspray, and a flexible hold hairspray. Any brand will work.

The trick to this is to grab 2-3 palmfuls of mousse and apply it to your hair (dry or damp. There should be enough mousse to cover most of your hair), then blowdry your hair lightly so that the mousse dries, then spritz your hair lightly with a flex hold hairspray, and comb it through. This will help your curls form quickly, and stay in all day.

Another trick is to use a REALLY hot iron. If you;re using a drugstore iron (revlon, conair, remmington) turn it up to the highest heat setting (these iron's don't recover heat quickly enough so it gives you flat curls that fall out). If you're using a Hot Tools, CHI or any other professional brand, follow their guidelines.

Don't touch your hair when its warm, because the curlS WILL fall out, and spray your hair with hard hold hairspray when you're happyw ith the look :)

    Good luck!
I have really straight hair too! For really cheap I would sugjest Herbal essences Curl Boosting Moose and Curl Gel. Also after you curl be sure to use hairspray like Herbal essences Set me up hairspray. These work great and are really cheap! (like 3.50 each)
Try Sunsilk shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. Or you could try using Beyond The Zone for curls. Me personally, I use the Sunsilk mousse for curling hair. That seems to work.
Try Herbal essences totally twisted mousse, scrunch it while hair is wet , when hair is not wet anymore , apply some heat protectant spray then curl with curling iron
There is a great curling product by Fructis. It is a spray in a green bottle. Good luck!

I have naturally straight hair and I was wondering if there was a product out there that would give it that wet curl look or even wavy? Please help me out here.

Thanks!I was wondering if there is a hair product?
    Herbal Essences Curl/Scrunching gel.

    It's in a purple tube/bottle thing. hah.

    Just scrunch it.

The more you blow dry it, the less crunchy.I was wondering if there is a hair product?
My friend has super stick straight hair and it doesn't curl or scrunch no matter what mousse. The only time she has been able to get that wet or wavy look is when she puts mousse in it after it is dry, curl it with a curling iron (all of it) then scrunch it with mousse.

Takes her like an hour and a half since she can't skip the curling iron, but it looks great and works for her. :)
Bumble and Bumble has a product called ';Surf Spray'; You can put it in dry or wet. It gives you a really sexy beachy, tosseled wavy look. I really like it, plus it smells like the ocean.
there's this great stuff called Chi and its this oil that you use just a little of and put it in your hair and then sort of tease it and fluff it around and it gives your hair hair a nice bouncy look!
    aussie:

    catch the wave shampoo

    catch the wave conditioner

    catch the wave mousse.

buy it. use it. love it.

i feel like a robot lol
if your hair is super straight and won't curl for crap than go with aussie scrunch spray, put it in wet hair and scrunch. if your hair curls easy than go with sunsilk wave spray.

    best of luck

    being undressed
well when is the last time you had a haircut? curly hair has the tendence to be course and dry so flat ironing take out most of the mositure. so i would get your ends trimed about every 4 to 6 weeks and that shoud to wonders. To make you hair look even more smooth use a milky looking pomade at the end it will look like a lotion. if you get a waxing pomade it will just make your hair look greasy. plus a waxy base will weigh your hair down. the pomade will seal the cuticle down. also if you want and even more sleek look try using a shine boost. i would adivse a pump the spray is going to make it look like a big greasy ball if you are not careful. best of look with your bad hair day
your best bet is to go into a salon and tell them what you're looking for. i know it's spendy, but all my products for my hair are bought from the salon, even if it's a cheap one like great clips. my hair is long and i take very good care of it. if your hair is curly you need to take care of it really well. most products can be taken back if you don't like them. i think every salon offers that. i return things all the time!
oo yeah i know what you mean, try L'oreal Heat Seeker, i know exactly what you mean that happens to me to, if i put this on my ends it makes it that pointy straight kind haha. i know what you mean :P.
try using biosilk silk theropy syrum before you straighten. It will help with the damage you are causing your hair by straightening it which is what causes the bushy effect. The kind that makes the end of your hair look like a broom. You should aslo start using silk theropy shampoos and conditioners such as panteen prov shiny and smooth, or thermasilk or the whole biosilk line(that one is a lil more expensive though. I would probly aslo us hot oil treatment until the damage starts to go away aout once a month. (you can buy these at any convinence store by V05) Or a hair mask that helps restore moister. I used to have extremely dry hair from over styling so trust me when I say those methods work. =0)

What is the difference with the ';Onyx';product and the ';Forever'; hair product?

Basically, which one works better as far as straitening, waving, curling, and has more things that can really help my hair? Out of all the Herstyler products which is the BEST including the ones I didn't add in like.. the Colorful Seasons, and Pink Black and Purple? I'm getting one soon and I just need to know thanks. What is the difference with the ';Onyx';product and the ';Forever'; hair product?
Onyx heats up faster and easier to clean. If you are sure 220 F is something you want for your hair, it will be straight

What hair product would you recommend?

I want to get a new hair cut. I already have it picked out, but it says to use a ';smoothing serum';or something. I have pretty straight hair, not stick straight, but close. Should I still use a smoothing serum or pomade, and if so what would you recommend? What hair product would you recommend?
Really you should just ask your hairstylist. Your hair may not need it, so go to the hairstylist (Preferably the one you trust!), because she knows your hair the best, and know what you should do.

Happy StylingWhat hair product would you recommend?
TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Serum. It keeps hair under control and completely fights frizz. i love the whole Control Freak line (shampoo, conditioner, extra extra straight hair straightener. A bit pricey, but totally worth it. Good luck!

If I use the ';Matrix Shade Memory'; hair product will it fade out my natural highlights?

I have brilliant blonde natural highlights in my light brown hair.

I love my highlights and i wanted to use this because i received the whole set (shampoo, conditioner, and foam[warm] conditioner.)

The foam seemed to be dye to me though, and i'd be devastated if my highlights were gone, anyone have any experience in this field?

thanks in advanceIf I use the ';Matrix Shade Memory'; hair product will it fade out my natural highlights?
as long as you are using the blonde shade in this line, and not the one for brown hair, it should work.

  • Is there a curl enhancing, frizz reducing hair product that actually works available at Wal-Mart?

No!! Over the counter hair products build up on your hair leading to breakage, dryness and frizz. Spend the extra few bucks at the salon and get something that will actually help your hair. Professional products are super concentrated. You can use way less and the cost will even out. Hope you take my advice. Good luckIs there a curl enhancing, frizz reducing hair product that actually works available at Wal-Mart?

Is there a curl enhancing, frizz reducing hair product that actually works available at Wal-Mart?
The reason you are not finding something that actually works is cuz you are looking at walmart. Only salon brands work. So if you want something that will define your curls and reduce frizz I recommend Redkens whole fresh curls line. the shampoo is a gentle cleanser, the conditioner tames frizz and detangle's great. As for styling products Redken fresh curls has a spring mousse that is not hard and crunchy and then you can use the scrunching spray which helps define and moisturize. Hope That helps. You can find that at any salon that sells Redken. Good luck.
yes i use TRESemme. it really works and it makes your hair smooth and frizz free. it tells you how to use it and tell you how much to use every time. =]

have you heard of the Curly Girl (or CG) method? if not, it's a special hair routine made for people with wavy or curly hair. It's basically completely removing (if not then seriously limiting) the use of shampoo. It may sound kind of gross but really it's not, let me explain.

Most advertised shampoos (including all the ones you mentioned above) contain harmful ingredients called sulfates. Mind you sulfates are also what they use in washing detergent. These sulfates rid moisture from the hair causing frizziness and dryness for those of us with curly hair. Another thing to avoid is silicones. These are found in most conditioners (again, in the brands you mentioned above). Silicones build up on the hair, can make it frizzy and can only be removed with sulfates, so as you can see...not so good.

Before starting anything, get out your shampoo/conditioner collection as well as your styling products. Take a look at the ingredients. The most common sulfates are ammonium lauryl sulfate and ammonium laureth sulfate. As for silicones anything ending in ';xane'; or ';cone'; is a silicone.

Luckily there are conditioners without silicones out there. The Suave Naturals collection has a variety of silicone free conditioners which you can wash your hair with (this is also known as co-washing). You'll also need a leave in conditioner THIS WILL PROTECT AGAINST FRIZZ (suave naturals is light enough to work as a leave in conditioner as well) , and a clear gel (optional) for extra hold.

There is soooo much more i could add but you should really check out www.naturallycurly.com they've got so much helpful information on maintaining healthy happy curly hair,

    NOTE:

before you begin washing with only conditioner, you have to do one last sulfate shampoo to remove any silicones. When you do the last sulfate wash, condition with your non-silicone conditioner. After this you should be using only be co-washing from now on. If you you really feel that you need to shampoo try and find one with out sulfates in it!

hope this helps tame your frizzy hair!

regular trims are a must, about every 7-9 weeks

use vitamin e on your hair after washing, not in the scalp

    makes hair grow fast

deep conditions and tames the frizzies

amount will vary from hair type to hair type

and you can take e the regular way to help boost hair growth

takes about a month for the growth part to kick in, does not work overnight. e is cheap and well worth it..

How can I tell if a hair product or any other type of bathroom products has been tested on animals?

I need to know so when I buy products I can check if it has been tested on animals or not.

ThanksHow can I tell if a hair product or any other type of bathroom products has been tested on animals?
Look for the ';leaping bunny'; symbol on the back of the packaging. While some display this, others simply state, ';Not made with animal products, and not tested on animals';.

Doris Day Animal League has a list of American and International products that aren't tested on animals. The link is listed below.

I use Tresseme, Kirk's, got 2 b, Herban Cowboy, Clearly Natural, Fantasy, and Tom's of MaineHow can I tell if a hair product or any other type of bathroom products has been tested on animals?
My favorite: St. Ives lotion, body wash ect. is not tested on animals

and you can go here to get a full list of other products that don't test on animals.

    http://search.caringconsumer.com/search_

    Best of luck to you.
    it will clearly state ';this product was not tested on animals';

but you have to be careful because the ingredients use to make the product may have been tested on animals. so, its kind of hard to tell if you want to make sure if its absolutely 100 percent cruelty free.
Not all products have it on the label so it's hard to tell. If you e-mail Ryan Huling (he works with PETA) at RyanH@peta2.com and ask him to send you a cruelty free shopping guide! That way, you can carry it around with you when you shop for products and you can look it up to see if it is cruelty free.
You can buy only the ones that explicitly say on the bottle that it hasn't been tested on animals.

Other than that, I don't think you can do much.
They don't have to print that information on the label.

Check the company against these lists:

    http://www.caringconsumer.com/pdfs/compa

    http://www.caringconsumer.com/pdfs/compa
Unless it states that it isnt testing on animals, it generally is.

If a company or product doesnt engage in animal testing they are usually smart enough to boast the fact :)
they usually say it on the bottle.

target carries a whole section of body care products that don't test on animals.

hope you have a good job, some of it is quite expensive compared to regular old shampoo and stuff.
the bottle usualy says if it has been tested on animals and if your not sure google it
Some say on the bottle the finished product has not been tested on animals, but that does not mean elements in the product have not been tested on animals. The best way to go about buying these things is to call the company or see if they say anything about it on there website.

Btw, white rain is what I use for my hair and body wash. :)

    http://www.whiterain.com/home.asp

100% vegan, they do not test on animals period!

And it works wonders for my hair!

    :)

I also have curly hair that used to frizz easily. i've been using herbal essences Totally Twisted line for the last year, and it is amazing. it works extremely well on my hair, and leaves the curls perfect and soft. I use the shampoo, conditioner, and mousse. It's inexpensive too, so it's perfect for me. I also use a Neutrogena serum along with the Totally Twisted Mousse, which makes my hair shiny. You can buy everything at CVS, Walgreens, or Target.

Sunsilk makes a leave in spray conditioner that I love. You can use it on wet or dry hair. It makes my hair shiny, soft and it smells good. I use it when I'm having a bad hair day. Just spray and fluff! It's also great to spray it on right out of the shower before you towel dry your hair. It also protects it when you blow dry. I recommend this stuff so much I should get it for free!

My mother and I are thinking about getting the Wen hair product but I don't know if it works. If anybody has any suggestions I will gladly take them, Thank you very much I very much appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. :}Does the Wen hair product actually work?
noDoes the Wen hair product actually work?
Eat food with more protein. Not enough protein will make your hair fall out.

Also, losing hair is typical in the fall/winter months. Nov. and Dec. is when you will lose a lot of your hair because of the weather. So this is normal, don't worry.

You could start taking vitamins with a lot of vitamin B or A which will help with the hair loss.

Otherwise, try not to brush it too much.

If this is still happening when it gets to january/february..you might want to find help. But as of now, this isn't out of the ordinary.
the best thing you can do before getting a dramatic cut or spending money on expensive products that only MIGHT work is go to your hairdresser for a consultation.

you can walk into any salon and ask, it's a little cheeky but it's free and they should be happy to help :)

try a little baby oil or coconut oil i dont know where ul get the coconut oil from though its a carribian thing i thinkWhats a good hair product to use in my 16 month old daughter's hair?
go to a baby store they have like soap and products
You should try and use natural products and stay a way from the ones with chemicals because a lot of them don't truly moisture the hair and can irritate te scalp. I use the baremineralindulgence products on my 1 year old's hair and they work great. they're made for black babies so they will most likely have what you're looking for.

My fav products are the Extra Conditioning Baby Shampoo (comes in a big bottle), the Luster's Locks Hair Cream (this is super moisturizing if your baby has dry coarse hair), and the Pure %26amp; Natural Detangle Cream (not oil but very moisturizing). None of them contain SLS/SLES which is a surfactant that dries the hair in skin out and they dont have mineral oil either. Green Apple, Honey Almond, and Kiwi Coconut scents are the best, btw.

if i were you, i would take her to the hair salon you go to, or like a baby salon if there is one, and ask them what they think, cuz they can look at your babys hair and find out the right kind of shampoo she should use. or if you want you can also go to your doctor, they can also help you.
don't use any she's way to young but don't wash her hair everyday cuz it will wash the natural oils that are good for her hair out just wash it every other day.

ughhh!!! I KNOW SO frustrating! If you have any natural curl or wave to your hair, I would suggest that you go with it. Its a quick and easy way to make a cute style. Wash your hair in the morning, towel dry it, use mousse and ';scrunch it'; a little blow dryer is a good but you don't need to dry it all the way. Your hair will look cute pulled back like this.

  • Is using a whole line of the same hair product better than mixing products?

I was reading on the back of my CHI Hairspray that it says that it works better in conjunction with other CHI products. Is this really true or is that a claim used by companies so that you will buy more products from them?

By the way, I'm not just asking about CHI, I'm asking about other brands such as Frizz-Ease, Tressemme, etc.

Thanks for your help :)Is using a whole line of the same hair product better than mixing products?
The only two products that must be of the same line/brand are the basic shampoo and conditioner combo. The reason why is because where one compromises on a given quality the other picks up the slack in that area.

Other than that they don't need to be the same at all.

So your leave-in conditioner, deep conditioner (i.e. second shampoo), balm, gel, mousse, hairspray, heat protectant, etc can all be from different brands. Is using a whole line of the same hair product better than mixing products?
im sure that using the whole line like shampoo conditioner and sprays and creams will work much better but it doesnt matter too much if u dont

Do any one know of a really good hair product to promote hair growth, by the way I'm African American?

Help growth and shedding.Do any one know of a really good hair product to promote hair growth, by the way I'm African American?
Hi Im half Black but have the same hair issues. My hair was very damaged from perming and I wanted to go all natural. I had terrible problems with breakage and shedding.

What helped me was mostly taking my time with my hair. On my wash days I was extra careful to comb out out all the knots and tangles BEFORE washing.

Every night I made sure to spend 20-25 minutes carefully combing and oiling my hair and scalp..No more quick (damaging) comb outs! I also braid my hair nightly and wrap it in a silky scarf. I also NEVER pull it into tight buns or tight ponytails.

I also made sure to snip my ends monthly or as I noticed splitting.

Before long I noticed less snapping cause I was taking my time. My hair over two years grew very long. My hair is natural and mid back length.

I used the following line products and they are cheap and easy to find

---%26gt; heres my favorite everyday hair oil. http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j

And this product I love for days when I want to wear my hair down ---%26gt; http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j

Aphoghee, CPR by motions, and there are lots of products specifically for African American Hair.
Theres a hairgrowth oil which made a difference in about 2 weeks for me.

one of my african-american friends tried it and hers grew noticeably in about a month, I'd say- but hers wasnt growing in quite a while, and she was happy about it.

Something used by geisha- all natural
length and strength from garnier Fructice. It should keep your hair from breaking apart and help fast forward the growing process
motions line of hair care products is really good and africans best maximum strength super grow hair and scalp conditioner its also really good u can find both st dollar general or walmart or sally's beauty supply
I use THERAPRO products. There are a lot of different products from shamppo and conditioner to hair growth pills. It can only be purchased at beauty supply stores... or try EBAY.
There's really no cure all to hair growth/shedding. BUt one culprit could be your relaxer. Are you using a mild one? Or one that has too much lye? Here's a few tips:

    1. Use a milder relaxer, and try to go about 8 weeks between them. (Cream of Nature is a good one)

    2. Have a healthy diet. Loads of junk food and not enough water can affect your hair growth and shine.

    3. It doesnt really matter what kind of shampoo you use - but use a good conditioner. Nexxus is a pretty good brand.

    4. Since relaxers dry out the hair, be sure to keep your hair hydrated. Use a good (but light) hair oil, like Natural Oasis, Amla, or even that ';Olive Oil'; hair spray. That's a good one.

    5. Keep your hair trimmed regularly. Split ends can travel from the bottom of your hair shaft to the top - causing breakage. Trim when you get your relaxer touch-ups.

    6. One thing I'm trying right now is the Nail, Hair, Skin herbal suppliments from ';Solgar'. Its supposed to make your hair grow. I'll have to post again if I see any changes. Its organic and all natural.

    7. Many people believe that the herbal suppliment Biotin can help with hair/nail growth. But it casuses acne when you take high doses - so be careful if you go this route.

    8. Try not to put too much heat on your hair (i.e., if you go to Dominican hair salons that do roller wraps and put you under the dryer and then blow dry you too).

    9. Try not to blow dry your hair - it not only dries the hair out, but it breaks off the edges of your hair.

    10. Some hair shedding is normal - like when you see long strands of your hair fall out. We shed over 100 strands of hair a day. Be worried if you see the small little pieces come out - that means they broke off the hair shaft, and you may have split ends.

Hope this helps. I'm black by the way - so I feel your pain with the hair issues.

What's a normal hair product I can put in my hair to make it stay back?

Aside from gel, mousse, or hairspray. Please don't tell me any fancy Asian stuff or name brands.

What's something I can put in my hair to make it stay back, where I can still run my fingers through it nicely? Thanks. What's a normal hair product I can put in my hair to make it stay back?

My best friend has curly hair %26amp; she likes ';Zero Frizz'; very much..Can anyone recommend a hair product to tame friz and help curls that does not leave it crunchy?
i have really long, curly, frizzy hair, and i hate it to be stiff and crunchy...

i actually dont like using anything in my hair.

what i do to get the frizz out is this.......

wash your hair the night before

while its still wet (not dripping, but still wet)

put it upin a high ponytail

    sleep on it

the next morning, if its dry, take it out and tada! no frizz

and if you have really curly hair like me, the line from the ponytial wont show...

What is the best hair product to make my hair look like straight?

i have short hair now but i want my hair to be somewhat straight but not really straight. i want it to look like david spades hair for ex. straight but curl at the end. What is the best hair product to make my hair look like straight?
Try a straightening iron or just a curling iron(I've found them to work the same.)Start it at the top and stop about 1/4 from the ends. That will leave your natural curl. Even if your natural isn't VERY curly, in contrast to the very straight part directly above it, it should create the illusion. Also in any Wal-Mart, there are tons of products for curling the hair(mouses, oils, gels, etc.) I don't know that one works any better than the other though. A combo of the products and the above steps should help you pull of this look. Good luck. What is the best hair product to make my hair look like straight?

  • What hair product is good to straightened out curly hair?

The Sedu, Solia, and CHI are a great investment, but if you're not willing to fork over the money for those, then you should try the Andis MultiHeat Ceramic Straightener. It is usually 20-25 dollars at Wal-Mart or at Target. If you want it permanently straightened, get a Thermal Reconditioning Treatment(Japanese Straightening). Here are some websites to learn more about Japanese Straightening:

I have super thick and curly hair that gets really frizzy if nothing is done with it. What I do is just use a regular straightener that you can get at target or walmart for probably 20 bucks then when I straighten I use Garnier sleek %26amp; shine weightless anti-frizz serum. I work in a tiny bit into each section of hair as I straighten it and it leaves it super soft, shiny and super straight.

What is the best hair product to make black women's hair grow?

Try using intense moisture products. I use Pantene. I deep condition every week. Alot of times its not that your hair doesnt grow, it s the products you put in it to prevent it from breaking off. One of the main reason the hair of African American women does not seem to show length is because of the lack of moisture. I also use DoGro to greese my scalp once a week. I know many are against this, but I remember how thick and long my hair was when my mother did it and the main thing she did was greese my scalp. I have had issues with my hair, especially when I became of age to do it myself. But when I came up with a weekly regimine of intense moisture products, the problems left. I cut my hair on average every 2 years. By the end of the 2nd year my hair is at least to my sholders. Talk to a hair dresser. They probably will tell you not to greese your scalp, but will tell you to get an intense moisturizer for your hair. Remember all those people people with Jheri curls. They all had long hair and it was beceause of that activator!!!!What is the best hair product to make black women's hair grow?

CARROT OIL PRODUCTSWhat is the best hair product to make black women's hair grow?
I don't think that it is the Hair product that encourages the growth but rather the person's diet. A good balanced healthy diet supplemented with Vitamin E and Gelatin should help encourage growth.
    hmm
    Use Propecia

This was the same medicine/drug used by Tom hanks to grow hair in The da vinci code!
It isn't necessarily products that make your hair grow.

First, do you have damaged hair? Is it relaxed, permed...???

To make your hair grow, keep all damage and dry ends cut off, condition each time you shampoo, and if extremely damaged, deep conditioners are needed once a month.

Good hair care produces good growth.

Does anyone know any hair product that will make hair with using a straightening iron stay really straight?

I striaghten my hair using a straightening iron, but it doesnt stay straight, it will start curving out almost right away. everyone at school has dead straight hair that stays that way, but mine dosen't. Any suggestions on how mine can stay straight and non frizzy?Does anyone know any hair product that will make hair with using a straightening iron stay really straight?
As soon as you're finished straightening your hair, use a finishing hairspray (the ones that also make your hair shine.) That will keep it styled.

you have to style/blow dry your bangs the way you want them.

hairspray your bangs then brush them.

    they should stay in place.

if they're still going out of control, put styling moose on your part.
My sister is a hair dresser and she does my hair. She uses a small amount of hair paste to smooth them over, it works really well and I have noticed over time they stay there better, like they are being trainned, so good luck~
