Is using a whole line of the same hair product better than mixing products?

I was reading on the back of my CHI Hairspray that it says that it works better in conjunction with other CHI products. Is this really true or is that a claim used by companies so that you will buy more products from them?





By the way, I'm not just asking about CHI, I'm asking about other brands such as Frizz-Ease, Tressemme, etc.

The only two products that must be of the same line/brand are the basic shampoo and conditioner combo. The reason why is because where one compromises on a given quality the other picks up the slack in that area.





Other than that they don't need to be the same at all.





So your leave-in conditioner, deep conditioner (i.e. second shampoo), balm, gel, mousse, hairspray, heat protectant, etc can all be from different brands.Is using a whole line of the same hair product better than mixing products?
im sure that using the whole line like shampoo conditioner and sprays and creams will work much better but it doesnt matter too much if u dont


i use the entire line of chi and its wonderful and ive used the herbal essence line
