Can I use a thermal hair product used for flat irons for curling instead?

I just bought some thermal product for flat ironing your hair, but I also just bought some hot rollers and wanted to know if I could use that to help hold my curl in. Would this work?Can I use a thermal hair product used for flat irons for curling instead?
It should work,I think it basically works with heat, so it should hold the curl...
