I have long and veeeery thin hair. I have tons of breaks that have resulted in tons of short little fly-aways that I can't seem to tame. I don't use any leave-in stuff because my hair is so thin it doesn't take well to those things.
Right now I use Herbal Essences - No Break Ups shampoo and conditioner to little avail.
Any ideas on better products? Or some other clever little secret? (keep in mind i'm on a pretty tight budget, so nothing too fancy)
Thanks! Can any one give me hair product suggestions?
A hair thickener such as the Diva by Cindy stimulating shampoo will give your hair body.It contains peppermint, menthol and some other special ingredients to give your hair that oomph! Use with the Diva by Cindy stimulating conditioner and you hair will love it.Go on : www.divabycindy.netCan any one give me hair product suggestions?
I always have people that come into my salon with this problem!
Try to only shower every other day or even every third day, because with thin hair you should only be washing it when it's dirty. Washing it to often make it break easier and make it seem stringy and thinner. Pantene is a very nice brand for thin hair and is reasonably priced. I would tell you to go with a salon brand, but since you are on a tight budget maybe not.
The best for your particular hair type is maybe Classic Care Shampoo and Conditioner or something like that, but that is off the top of my head. For treatments I'd try Pantene Moisture Replenishing Rinse-Off Treatment.
There are things you need to avoid with thin hair too. Be cautious of ';body-adding'; shampoos. Ph balance should be under like 6.5 or 7.0. These shampoos can make it really rough and brittle.
Another little secret...use baby shampoo! Use it after your regular shampoo and conditioner.
you want to stay away from shampoos with SLS (sles) or ALS in them as they cause hair to thin :: there are lots of other harsh ingredients to watch out for::

and you can make your own great conditioners %26amp; shampoos @ home::
