You can do an acv rinse to remove product buildup. Use about 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar to 4 or 5 cups of water. Mix these in a squirt bottle if you can and squeeze it out on your hair and scalp. Massage your scalp and hair like you are shampooing and concentrate on the areas where you know there is build up. Rinse thoroughly and condition.
You can also do a baking soda and water wash. Only use 1 tablespoon or less of baking soda with lots and lots of water. You can make a paste with the baking soda or you can put it in the squirt bottle. I use an old dish washing liquid container. Rinse thoroughly and condition. You can use either of these method instead of using sulfate shampoo. Good luck with your hair.Is there a homemade recipe for hair product buildup removal?
rinse your hair with a cup of vinegar after shampooing and then condition as usual. I've done this on several occasions and love the results. also, your hair won't smell like vinegar if you condition after.
