My hair is quite dry (slightly coarse) so I only straighten about once a week to prevent damaging it. I need a product that works well whether I leave it to dry naturally or straighten it. Also to soften, moisturise and make it feel silky to touch. Any ideas?Thick hair help! Can anyone recommend a leave in hair product to condition and calm my thick hair?

The Body Shop has some great products for hair! I have dry hair and I use the Brazil Nut Moisture Mask once every two weeks (you put it in slightly damp hair at night, wrap it in a towel and wash it our in the morning) and a couple times a month I use the Minoi Miracle Oil just on the ends (put on at night, wrap in a towel and wash in the morning) and my hair is ALOT less dry and coarse. If your straightening your hair, use a cream that helps, I use the Macadamia Nut Straightening Balm and I just LOVE it!!!!!! I notice a big difference, let me tell ya!
ask your salon / hairdresser for some intense osmo conditioner, it is for over stressed heat treated hair but is lovely on all hair types. also next time you get your hair cut ask them to thin it out alot, this will help you to keep it under control.
Tressemme makes a leave-in conditioner that is nice and isn't heavy. It is hard to find at times though, I think drugstore.com carries it.
Also try John Frieda Frizz-ease, it helps control any frizzies or flyaways.
Matrix sleek line of product is one of the best that I have found for this it makes your hair feel like silk and it helps if you straighin it !!!
I find avon leave in conditioner really good
Aussie leave in miracle recovery spray. It is an amazing product that smells great too
