What would be the best hair product or tool for African American females?

I'm a 19 yr old cosmetology student and I'm conducting a survey. I want to know, as African American females, what is the biggest problem we have with our hair? If any, what would be the one product or tool you'd want created or improved? What product and/or tool do you use the most? What would be the best hair product or tool for African American females?
I'm natural and the main problem I have is dry hair. I HATE IT! I do the same process just about every day and sometimes my hair stays moisturized all day and sometimes it looks extremely dry. I had the same problem with dryness when I was relaxed.

If I could have one product created it would be a moisturizer that actually lasted 16 hours rather than just proclaiming it! Even better if the moisturizer gave good slip to make the hair easier to comb. I hate when my curls look dry. What would be the best hair product or tool for African American females?
Hmm....well straightening our hair is a problem with most african americans.

I think that relaxers should make your hair look exactly like the female's hair on the box, the first time it is used.

Its just that you would think your hair is going to come out looking like how it is on the box, but for some people it seems that the only thing it does is soften your hair and moisturize, but not straighten it.
