Cosmetologist/Instructor of 25 years here!!

Frizzy hair is caused by several things. Lets see if any of these things fit what could be your issue(s).

What hair care products are you using? This is usually one of the main factors of dryness, brittlness and frizzy fly away hair.

If you are using drug store products you are robbing your hair of moisture and the essential things it needs to keep it healthy. Those products contain waxes that coat the hair, are mostly water, full of fillers to extend the product, and they use the harshest detergent to formulate because it is cheap. In combination of all the above, they leave your cuticle open, then coat the hair shaft to camoflouge the open cuticle left...so it appears shiny...its like wax on a apple.

Professional products use the best moistrizers, are ph balanced, keep your cuticle closed with no waxes to camofluoge, are formulated with the mildest surfectants, feeds the hair keeping it shiny and soft. They cost more but they are worth it as they really do work if you get the right product prescribed for you.

If you use any heat appliance this will zap your hair of all its moisture as well. You must use a professional thermal protectant to buffer the effects, keep the moisture locked in and keep the cuticle closed.

Permanate straightening is an option, but a warning to you...your hair must be in optimal condition. It is a chemical service and a strong one at that. Just go to your regular stylist and ask them to explain it to you, what it costs, and how your hair will react to it. Also be aware you need to get retouches every so often.

I hope my answers and suggestions are helpful for you and good luck!!

DO NOT attempt to do this at home!!! I can not emphasize this strongly enought!!!!! No matter what anyone says, this is not to be done by non professionals. It is a long complicated service and you really can destroy your hair. NOT worth it at all!!Is there a hair product /or process that can permanently straighten my hair?
thermalionic, $30 at sally's beauty supply, but hundreds of dollars if you get it salon done. My personal advice to you would to get a trustworthy friend or family member to read and re read the directions to make sure you can do it to the best of your ability. It is a complex process, taking about 4 - 5 hours, but it is well worth it if done correctly.
i got my hair chemically relaxed and it didn't really help me, when they did my hair they said that it was a perm reverse, my aunt did it for me so i don't know how much it cost she lowers prices for family.
Typical relaxing can leave more damage in the long run; I'd try getting it Japanese Straightened (Japanese Perm), although those can run up to $400.

You could try chemically relaxing your hair at the salon. I'm not sure how much it costs though.
You could get your hair relaxed. Where I work we charge $75+ depending on the length/density of your hair.
